To enter a query into the search, just type in a few descriptive words and click on the Search button for a list of relevant resources. The system will return a list of resources containing any of the words used in the search.
If you would like to include all of the words used in your search you can check the 'Include All Words' checkbox. This will return a list of relevant resources that contain all of the words used in the search.
To refine your search to specific criteria you can visit the 'More Search Options' page and enter information in specific fields. Searching for an author's name will return a listing of resources which contain your search criteria in the author field. You can refine your search by choosing multiple options such as subject and language. For instance, to search all resources about Early Childhood that are written in the Spanish language, select 'Early Childhood' from the Subject field and 'Spanish' from the Language field.
The publication title, author, and article title work similar to the basic search. Searching for the phrase 'Early Childhood' in the title field will return all resources that contain either the word 'Early' or the word 'Childhood' or a combination of both. To narrow these results to the exact phrase, check the checkbox next to 'Exact Search'. This will return a list of resources that contain the phrase 'Early Childhood'.
Our resources are archived after they are five years old. Each archived resource is reviewed and if the information is still useful, it may be restored. Resources that are archived are still searchable by checking the 'Search Archives' checkbox.
